The night of April 14th, 2011 around 7:00 P.M. TCFL high school students were already gathering and waiting for the highly anticipated Spring Social. This event is organized annually by our Spirit Club bringing students from 6th grade through 12th together to enjoy the bonfire and music. This year’s Spring Social was attended by our former science and P.E. teacher Esteban Peralta and his wife, former 6th grade teacher Marta Peralta. Esteban was the Master of Ceremonies and made sure everyone had the best time ever; he was joined by the 8th grade girls who did a dance number for the
event.
The hard working organizing committee consisted of: Laura Losada, Nicole Aybar, Rosa Italia, Vilmarie Stefan, Zoe Lopez, Alberto Ruiz, Coral Ortiz, Omar Polanco, Nanssie Zayas, and Dayana Nasr. Jorge Jimenez and Carlos Lopez joined the Spirit Club officers who were responsible for making the night very enjoyable for all. As the night went by, students and their guests gathered around the bonfire to roast marshmallows and enjoy the food and beverages sold by the 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Through out the evening music was provided by Eduardo Caceres, a member of last year’s graduating class, Vitus’ 10, and there was an unexpected musical performance by current students Carlos Acosta and Ivana Bejaran . Around 160 people attended the Spring Social, 100 more than last year.

En la noche del 14 de abril, al rededor de las 7:00 p/m., los estudiantes de secundaria del Community for Learning estuvieron esperando anticipadamente por el Spring Social. Este evento es organizado anualmente por Spirit Club trayendo a estudiantes de 6to a 12vo grado, juntos a compartir de una fogata y mucha música. Este ano, el Spring Social estuvo protagonizado por nuestro ex profesor de ciencias y deporte, Esteban Peralta y su esposa, la ex profesora de 6to, Marta Peralta. Esteban fue nuestro Master de Ceremonias y trato de hacer esta una noche de la que todos podríamos recordarnos. El estuvo acompañado por un baile que hicieron las niñas de 8vo grado.
Este comité de tan duro trabajo consiste por: Laura Losada, Nicole Aybar, Rosa Italia, Vilmarie Stefan, Zoe López, Alberto Ruiz, Coral Ortiz, Omar Polanco, Nanssie Zayas, y Dayana Nasr. Jorge Jiménez y Carlos López se unieron a los oficiales de Spirit Club y estuvieron responsables de hacer esa noche agradable para todos. Cuando la noche pasaba los estudiantes y sus acompañantes se reunieron alrededor de la fogata y disfrutar de las bebidas y las comidas que fueron vendidas por los estudiantes de 10mo, 11vo y 12vo grados. Esa noche, la música fue producida por Eduardo Cáceres, un estudiante de la clase graduada del ano pasado, Vitus ’10. Y hubo una presentación sorpresa de Carlos Acosta e Ivana Bejaran. Más o menos 160 personas atendieron nuestro Spring Social, 100 personas más que el ano pasado.
